Anything Goes

Hello everyone! Hope you are enjoying your week so far. Here in Minnesota, I am enjoying the August weather. Just glad that I dont have to work without air conditioning.

Today's layout was created for 2 challenges. At Scrappin Peeps forum board, we had an  Ugly Paper challenge. We picked out 1 piece of 12x12 ugly paper & cut it up into  4x6 pieces. We then sent it to the host & she mixed them up & sent them back. The other challenge is for About a Boy. Their challenge is Anything Goes. As long as you have a male gender in your photo.

The photo in my layout is of my kids sitting on grandma's deck. They both seem to have cheesy smiles in this photo even though my son is usually the one giving them whenever I take his picture.

I used KI Memories Citrus calendar paper for the background. I originally was going to use this for a Halloween layout but it worked well for this too. I punched out my squares with what I thought was a 2" square punch but when I measured them, they were barely 1.5 inches. I used all 6 pieces of ugly paper for the square border around the photo. I adhered them to a piece of white cardstock after lining everything up like I wanted it.

The green embossed & inked leaves are from the Prima Sweet Retreat that I went to in June. The burnt orange leaves I had in my stash. I am guessing some I received from a peep. The letters are 2 different type of white Thickers. I added Kiwi Perfect Pearls powder to the word Cheesy & Forever Green Perfect Pearls powder to the word Smiles.

Have a Great rest of the week!
Happy Scrappin!
