Happy Friday everyone!
I finally finished my layout for Lets Get Sketchy! It seems like I have been working on it all week.
It hasnt been all week since I went to see Brett Michaels in concert on Wednesday. Great concert! I have never been so close to a celebrity before. It was a smaller venue so we were only about 20ft. away from him. I cant wait to scrap those pics!
Onto the layout & sketch.
Supplies
White cardstock
SEI Wedding Kit Patterned Paper
Sheer Creations Ribbon
DIY Thickers
Tim Holtz
Picket Fence Distress Stickles
Pink Stickles
Black Diamond Stickles
Black Soot Distress Ink
Martha Stewart
Double Loop Punch
Club CK Peeps
Pink Frilly String
Layered Flowers
These photos are from my cousin's wedding. The people in the photos are the Brides brother & niece.
I do not know where the round scallop paper is from. It was not labeled on the paper.
I peeled the paper off the Thickers & applied Stickles, then let dry before I put them on the layout. I inked the edges of the mats with the distress ink.
I looped the frilly string through the loops of the punched edge. I played with the string until I liked how it looked.
Right now it is 73 degrees out. Yay! I think Spring is finally here. Now I can start going for my walks. Hope everyone enjoys their weekend.

Out on the Town
How is everyone doing this weekend? Today I have a layout that I just finished for Lets Get Sketchy. Here is their sketch.
Supplies:
Black, White & Pink Cardstock
Little Yellow Bicycle Baby Safari Patterned Paper
Karen Foster Designs Patterned Paper
Prima
Meadowlark Chipboard Banner
Hello Pastel & Lifetime Flowers
Vermont Ivory Leaf
Pink Say It In Crystals
Pink & Black flower from Club CK swap
Pink Pearl from Easter Bunny at Club CK Ranger Diamond Stickles
I cut out the words Out on the Town from the paper & then added stickles to the letters so you could see them better.I also added stickles to the pearl in the middle of the pink & black flower & to the Prima flowers. I will write the ladies names in the banner at the top after I get a hold of my cousin because I cannot remember all their names right now. I might have to add something on the right hand side at a later date. Just seems to bare to me. Not much time to do that right now. I am in a time crunch so this will have to do for now.
Have a Great weekend!

Birthday/Springtime
Today I am combining 2 different challenges than I usually do. The first challenge is an Issue Challenge from Club CK. You are to use a prop to help tell your story in your layout. Mine is the Birthday cake. I originally wanted to use this layout also for the weekly challenge but I did not get it finished in time for the Birthday layout.
The other challenge comes from Scrap Your Story. Anything relating to Spring on your project. By the time my birthday rolls around in March, I am ready for Spring. I also love flowers, butterflies & the pastel colors for spring. As you can tell from my layout.
Supplies:
Colorbok Spring Pastel Cardstock
Prima Hello Pastel
Butterflies
Flowers
6x6 paper pad
Brads
Other Prima Products
Meadowlark Flowers
Banners & Tickets Canvas Resist
Say It In Crystals
My Mind's Eye Lush Chipboard Alphabet Stickers
Webster's Pages
Quick Pick Heart & Butterfly Pins
Washi Tape
Ranger
Diamond Stickles
Spun Sugar Distress Stickles
Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Spun Sugar
Squeezed Lemonade
Peacock Feathers
Martha Stewart Border Punch
We R Memory Keepers
Flourish Mini 8 Punch
Paper Piercer
I inked my canvas using a blending tool. It takes a little bit of time but not too long. It helps you get just the right shade of color that you want. I cut out the 2013 from the washi tape but it looks like it is not going to stay on unless I glue it. I added stickles to the number 40, butterflies wings & flowers for that extra bling. I used both the Spun Sugar & Diamond stickles on the yellow & teal flower. I made the pinwheels from scraps left over when I punched out the mats with the mini 8 punch. I used my paper piercer for the brads in the middle of the pinwheels. I punched out the borders with the 6x6 papers.
I will be looking at this layout for a few days since we are going to be in a winter weather advisory starting tomorrow. Wishing it would warm up & stay that way.
Have a good rest of the week.

Sweet Dreams
This weeks layout is another double challenge. Of course, its the beginning of the month so we have a new challenge from About a Boy. Their challenges come on the 1st & 15th of every month. This challenge is to use Chevrons on your layout. Even though I misted Chevrons on my last layout, I did find some paper to fit this challenge. I also won the prize for the month of March at About a Boy. Thank You Ladies!
. Every week we have a new sketch from Lets Get Sketchy. I could not find 3 photos for this sketch. I did find 3 but they were blurry so I decided to go with 2 photos. I had an idea for the chevrons right away but looked closer & they were more like arrows so I went with this paper instead.
Supplies:
White & Black Cardstock
Bazzill Basics Paper
Basic Grey What's Up around the world paper
Baby Border
Sweet Dream Diecuts
Pink Paislee Artisan Chipboard
Ranger Diamond Stickles
Tim Holtz Salty Ocean, Peacock Feathers, Faded Jeans, Milled Lavendar, Squeezed Lemonade & Walnut Stain Distress Inks
Star Punch
I received the border & shadowed sweet dream diecuts from Kelly at Club CK. I punched out stars on the Bazzill Blue paper & then filled them in with the stickles. The chipboard stars have a resist pattern on them so when I inked them, the pattern shows through. I ink them until I get the shade of color that I want & then dab with a paper towel. The more you ink, the better the pattern shows up. I then added stickles to the edges of some of the stars & the inside of the cut out star.
I am hoping to find some time to get another layout done for a couple challenges at Club CK. If that happens, I will be back here posting on Saturday or Sunday.
Happy Scrappin!
