Easter Color Blog Hop

WELCOME to the EASTER BLOG HOP for Friday, April 6th! This is my first blog hop that I have participated in. I am very excited to be a part of it!

I love this time of year! It is starting to get warmer & flowers will be starting to bloom soon. One of my favorite flowers are lilacs. I love their fragrance & their color. One of my favorite colors is purple. Since purple was already taken for this Easter Hop, I chose Violet. Which I think is just another shade of purple & is just as pretty.

I dont have alot of Easter pictures to scrap but I was lucky enough to find this one in my stash of old pictures of my daughter. My style of scrapbooking is starting to change. I love to use flowers, bling & butterflies. Of course, I will have to tame that down a bit when I get back to scrapbooking my son's album.

I used a Martha Stewart punch around the page punch for the LO border. The patterned paper used in the upper corner & for the pennants is from Basic Grey. The pennants were cut out with Spellbinders shapeabilities dies. Prima products that I used are the glitter flowers, ribbon trim, Say it in Crystals trim & canvas resist that is at the top of the page with the title. The butterfly is a Jolee's boutique dimensional sticker.The crocheted flower is from Paper Studio with a brad in the middle from My Minds Eye, Miss Caroline line.The acrylic floral embellishments are a Recollections product. The hearts & tiny purple flowers came from some members at Club CK. The Easter eggs & daisy border are some Easter stickers I had laying around.

In case you are curious to what my favorite scrapbooking companies are, I will tell you. My most favorite right now is Prima with Tim Holtz products right behind them. I also like Websters Pages & LYB. I dont think I have created anything with those 2 yet. I must be hoarding because I know I have their products. I need to get scrappin more. I do like Glitz designs but I just have found them so I have not had the chance to buy any of their products yet. I do use WE R Memory Keepers sometimes but I wouldnt say they are my favorite. I usually just pick up what catches my eye.

March Birthday

Well, I believe this is the 3rd month in a row that I have posted about a birthday. This month is MY Birthday month tho. My Birthday is in a couple weeks so I decided I will give out a RAK. I wanted to do something for during the week of my birthday but I will have to wait & see if it works out. We have some family things going on so I will see if I find the time to do something. I will let you know the details for the RAK by Friday March 9th so check back & see whats going on.
