Family Pictures

Here I go again, neglecting my blog. I have not been scrapbooking much this summer but today I thought I would just show off some pictures of my grandson. I have yet to start his scrapbook since he was born at the end of May. I have some others to work on first before I get started on his.

What I have been doing is making shapes for his monthly pictures on my Cricut. My daughter and I saw something like this at the store but the ones she wanted ended up being discontinued so I said I would make some. I let her pick out the shape from my cartridges for each month and we just tape it to his outfit.

He is already 4 months old. How the time flies, just like summer does. He weighed 6lbs. 6oz. when he was born.

At 4 months old he weighs 15lbs.

Here is our 5 Generation picture of my family. In the back is my dad, father of my grandson, me and in the front is my grandpa, my daughter holding my grandson and my grandma. This was taken on Father's Day when he was 1 month old.

Hopefully soon I will be posting more scrapbook pages. I am going to a friends house this weekend to do some scrapbooking. I am hoping this will motivate me to get going again.

Happy Scrappin!

Mini Album Blog Hop

It has been such a long time since I have blogged. Time just gets away from me and have been enjoying my new grandson.

My scrappin online friend Kelly Jean asked if anyone wanted to do a mini album blog hop and I have not done a blog hop for awhile now so I decided to join in. You are at the right blog if you got here from Beth's blog called Scrapping Wonders. If you just stumbled upon my blog, the whole list of blogs from the beginning are listed below for the

Once again, time got away from me so I will be showing an older mini album that I created after my daughter was married.

I received the mini album, rings and paper in a kit from My Mind's Eye. I coordinated the rest with some Prima flowers, chipboard stickers, and bling. I also used a rubon and stencil from Prima. Other embellies were from other various scrapbooking companies. Its been awhile so I dont quite remember where everything came from. The wedding bells are a stamp and I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink for edging various elements.

Here is the whole blog hop list and your next stop will be Lynn - Lynn's Everyday Ideas.

Spring Is Here

I am hoping Spring has come to stay. I love the warmer weather and not having to bundle up with layers of clothes. I would move to a warmer climate for year round but I have family here and would not want to leave them.

I have some Spring like pictures to share of my daughter's baby shower that took place this past weekend. I made most of the decorations with either my Cricut or my friend's Vagabond. I really like how the banners turned out since I just love pastel and spring like colors.

Here is the diaper wreath. I stamped each diaper with either some kind of baby shape like little feet or spring type of design like flowers. I did stamp the date of the baby shower and when the baby is due also. I wrapped each diaper around the styrofoam circle and tied it with ribbon to hold them on there. The banner is hung with twine. Each pennant has scalloped edging with holes so I looped the twine through those and tied them to the wreath.

This is the gift table all decorated with a banner and the streamers and balloons with the diaper wreath. The banner on the table also has the same pennants but I made a rosette flower for each one of the letters to sit on.

I also stamped little feet and the name on this frame. It was not easy since the frame doesnt lay flat. You can also see a sign on the side of the picture. I painted a piece of wood with Prima's Chalkboard Paint.

I made labels and the letters on the Vagabond for to put on the dishes for the Nuts and No Nuts.

This was a Gender Reveal Baby Shower so this is how everyone found out if it was a boy or a girl.

Now is the waiting game. Little Ramiro is due on May 29th. Cant wait to hold the little bundle of joy!

March Madness

March Madness is what came to mind when thinking of a title for this post. It has nothing to do with Basketball. I do not like Basketball.

This month is my Birthday month and my birthday is on a Saturday! I even took off work the day before to make it an extra long weekend. Usually I will take off anyway if it lands on a work day. My cousin always comes to town for the weekend sometime around my birthday. He will arrive on Friday and we always go to lunch with my mom and boyfriend this time since he will take off work too.

On Saturday, we have to do our taxes. After that the whole family will go for a late lunch to celebrate. Later after dinner time, my boyfriend, my friends and I are going out of town to see Lita Ford. This is the same bar we went to see Brett Michaels Band. I am sure it will be a good time. Cant wait!

Another event that is making this March Madness is my daughter's baby shower. It is at the end of the month and I am trying to make most of the decorations. I spent Saturday and Sunday afternoon at my friends house so I could use her Vagabond. I  finished making the invites but also made some of the banners and little odds and ends for the shower. The invites I made with my Cricut. I had bought a new Cricut cartridge called New Arrival online when they were on sale.
This is such a cute cartridge and I am sure I will get a lot of use out of it when I start the album for the grand baby. Here is a photo of the baby shower invite.
The baby is due at the end of May so I wanted to use Spring colors. Plus the baby shower is the weekend before Easter. I used my gelatos for the background. I just rubbed the color on my craft mat and used a wet paintbrush to apply the color. After it was dry, I then embossed it with my Texture Boutique. I used a 2" scallop punch on the mat for the feet and inked them with distress ink. The rest was cut out on my Cricut and painted with gelatos. I used a pop dot for the scallop and ran the embellies through the Xyron for effective stickiness.

Supplies
Paper Studio white cardstock
Faber-Castell Gelatos-Pink, yellow, purple and blue
Tim Holtz Distress Ink- Pine Needles, Tattered Rose
Teresa Collins Xyron Sticker Maker

I will post photos of the baby shower decorations after the baby shower. One of these days I will get back to scrappin layouts. LOL.

Happy Scrappin!

Happy Valentines Day

I know its a week early for Valentine's Day but I will be at the Onalaska, WI Hobby Lobby on Saturday, February 7th from 11am-2pm making Valentine's Day cards. As always, we will be using Prima products and also some of Hobby Lobby's products. I would like to share my sample card that I will be showing. It is not so much of a card that says Happy Valentine's Day but has to do with love.

Of course, this is just a sample and anyone that comes to do the demo can come up with their own kind of card. There are different stamps, papers, ink and flowers to use.

I used the Stationer's Desk 6x6 paper pad for the background and punched the border with Paper Studio(HL) heart border punch. I inked a white flower from a Prima Pillar Pack with Rose Bud chalk edger. I took one of Prima's small flower metal mechanicals and covered it with gesso. I then inked the edges with the same chalk edger and cut off the loop hole that each mechanical has. I cut out and glued a rose from Prima's Say It In Pearls(SIIP) Swirls Fimo Gray into the middle of the mechanical. I used Prima's cling mounted stamps for the sentiment. These are 2 separate stamps and the sentiment, a love story, fit just perfect in the frame stamp. I then cut around the stamped image with a decorative scissors and inked the edges with the same chalk edger once again. I added more of the SIIP coming from the flower to give a little bit of elegance.

All of these products are available at Hobby Lobby and if you cant find them at your local store dont forget to check online. Also, dont forget about your 40% off coupon you can get in their emails.

Have a Happy Valentine's Day

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

I know Christmas is done with but I did not get a chance to blog before it was here. I thought I would mix the two together in one post. I hope everyone enjoyed the holidays with family and friends. I always enjoy getting together during the holidays and visit with people we dont see very often during the year because everyone is so busy or they live out of town.

I kept forgetting to take pictures of my Christmas cards that I made but I did remember to take one of my favorite that I did. I just bought some embossing folders online during the 12 days of Christmas sales and they came the Friday before Christmas. This one I gave to my good scrappin friend. I knew she would like it.

I embossed this design on glittered cardstock with a Darice embossing folder. I colored the ornaments, stars and snowflakes with stickles. I added the clear Christmas Wishes stickers and chipboard silver star in the middle.

Here are some family Christmas photos that I took.

I took a photo of my daughter by her stocking to show off her baby bump for Christmas. She is due in May . The next photo is of my son, daughter, my dad & me.

These are the Christmas stockings that my step mom made for everyone. She had made some when my son was a baby but needed to update and she is keeping these for at their house.

Now I want to share some of my special projects from throughout the year.

                                               Valentine's Day Card

                                                 Springtime Canvas

My Prima cards for the Hobby Lobby Manager

Stickers that I made with my cricut, stickles & Xyron

The first Prima project at the Hobby Lobby demos

I cant wait to see what the New Year brings with more of the Prima Demos at Hobby Lobby, baby shower coming in March and the grand baby in May. It should be an eventful year! I hope you have a Great & Happy New Year as well.
